Cutting Through The Bullshit…. Machetti’s Blog

Mother-fuck-a-war

Posted in Politics, Veteran Activist by themachetti on the July 6th, 2007

I’m mad as hell. I’m tired of my peers dieing in Iraq. I’m tired of my friends having to there again and again to fight in a war no one intends to win.

If I may, I’ll share with you my feelings on this bullshit with a song by the Ghetto Boys.

Geto Boys - Fuck A War Lyrics

*phone rings*

[Hello, could I speak with, Bushwick Bill?]
Hello, this is Bushwick, motherfucking Bill
[Yes sir, I’m calling to inform you that you have been drafted
into
the United States military]
The Unites States wants me for what? Hahahaha
[Excuse me sir]
Hahaha
[Bushwick?]
Hahaha, yeah yeah yeah, hey what’s up?
[You need to contact your nearest recruiting office immeadiatly
please]
I see your not hip to what’s happenin’
I don’t give a fuck about you and all that bullshit you stressin’
Fuck a war
To explain, let me kick it to you a little something like this:

(Bushwick Bill)

Motherfuck a war, that’s how I feel
Sendin’ a nigga to the desert to get killed
Cause two suckas can’t agree on something
A thousand motherfuckers died for nothing
You can’t pay me to join an army camp
Or any other motherfuckin’ military branch
of this United goddman States of this bitch America
Be a soldier, what for?
They puttin’ niggas on the front line
But when it comes to gettin’ ahead, they put us way behind
I ain’t gettin’ my leg shot off
While Bush old ass on t.v. playin’ golf
But when you come to my house with that draft shit
I’m a shoot your funky ass bitch
A nigga’ll die for a brawl
But I ain’t fightin’ behind no goddamn oil
Against motherfuckas I don’t know
Yo Bush! I ain’t your damn hoe
The enemy is right here g, them foreigners never did shit me
All of those wasted lives
And only one or two get recognized
But what good is a medal when your dead? tell Uncle Sam I said

chorus x2 (Willie D)

I ain’t goin’ to war for a shit talkin’ president
[Fuck fuck fuck a war]

(Bushwick Bill)

In Vietnam a lot of niggas died young
P.O.W.’s got hung
What the fuck do I know about a grenade
All I know is the cops and my 12 gauge
And what if that pin gets stuck?
Several more casualties show up
This shit remind me of a drive-by
More motherfuckers die by accident than on purpose, why?
Cause they don’t know what they doin’
They see the coast is clear and they start persuin’
And that’s when that booby trap springs, BOOM!
Blow a motherfucker to smithereens
They send a sucker to your folks, lookin’ stupid
tellin’ them you died in the line of duty
Or your ass is missing in action bro
Tryin’ to be a damn hero
They bring your folks that duffle bag
The only shit they wanna see is that doggy tag
Hopin’ that the worryin’ will cease
And your ass will be home in one damn piece
But my mom ain’t gotta worry about that there
Cause I ain’t dyin’ in the middle of nowhere
Another statistic, a body in a drawer
Man! mother fuck a war!

Chorus x2

Ya’ll lucky that I ain’t the president
Cause I’ll push the fuckin’ button and get it over wit
Fuck all that waitin’ and procrastinatin’
And all that goddamn negotiatin’
Flyin’ back and fourth overseas
And havin’ lunch and brunch with the motherfuckin’ enemy
I’ll aim one missle at Iraq
And blow that little piece off shit off the map
Yeah, I wouldn’t give a fuck who it ices
Cause I’m tired of payin’ these high ass gas prices
Only the rich benefit, it’ll be a cold day in hell before I enlist
To eat shit out a can like a worm
And everyday wear the same fuckin’ uniform
Sores breakin’ on my funky ass feet
Skin crawlin’ cause I ain’t took baths in weeks
Not knowin’ if I’m comin’ home or not
And if I do, I’ll probably be shell shocked
I couldn’t get a job just a free burial
You know how Uncle Sam treat it’s veterans
Absolutely no respect
Get a plate in your head, lose a leg, you might get a check
Or a gaddamn star, you can have that shit
Mother fuck a war!

My friend Alex, the criminal.

Posted in Politics, Culture by themachetti on the June 27th, 2007

With the ongoing ignorant debate about illegal immigrants I find it is important to have some straight talk on this issue. By straight talk I don’t mean Lou Dobb’s demonizing of every brown person in the racist way he does.
I want to talk about Alex, my friend, and an employee at my company. Alex is the same age as me 24, hes sorta married (married in a church but can’t get the license) he has a child with his wife who is 2 years old and born here. Both he and his wife work at my company and both have fake IDs and social security numbers because they are not legal. Alex became a criminal here at 2 years old when his parents illegally immigrated to this country. His parents having been here long enough could have become legal if they returned to mexico for 1-10 years, this was not practical for them and their 5 children, 2 of whom are citizens having been born here in the US. Alex is a bright guy, he works harder than anyone in his department and has been with the company for a few years. Alex runs the shipping department and is the go-to guy when it comes to shipping matters, everyone depends on him because they know he is the most capable, intelligent and dilligent employee in that department. Alex makes 11 dollars an hour, which is less than either of his co-workers. The reason he makes less is because our Human Resources department knows his social security number is fake, and know that due to new crackdowns it will be very hard for him to be employed anywhere else. They take advantage of him. His position at any other company would earn him 18-20 dollars per hour. Every 2 weeks when Alex gets paid, money is taken out of his check and sent to Federal, State, Medicaid, and Social Security tax accounts. But Alex will never get credit for this contribution. Alex cannot file for taxes and get back part of that federal money which is owed to him for falling below the poverty line. Alex is bilingual and speaks Spanish and English with equally high levels of proficiency, his English is better than some of our native born Caucasian employees. Alex wants to become a mechanic some day and has taken some community college classes towards this. But Alex knows he can never get certified as a mechanic because he’s not a legally immigrant. Alex is a citizen of this country, he pays taxes, his rent check goes towards his landlord paying municipal taxes, so through that he pays for the fire, police, and hospital services that many argue that illegals do not pay for. Alex isn’t illegal to me, he’s my friend. At the age of 2 when he was brought here he by any standard of our law could not be charged with committing a crime, in our society we believe 2 yearolds do not know the difference between right and wrong. But our system which ignores him and his peers have forced him to break the law by obtaining fake identification. His fake social doesn’t belong to anyone, it’s unassigned so he is just contributing and contributing towards someone else’s retirement that has yet to be born.

Alex lives in fear of his employers, he knows that they will use his immigration status against him when he asks for a raise. His wife is an employee here too, and and more grossly underpaid than him.

I wouldn’t want you to be treated this way. I say legalize all people now. No 2nd tier visas/ temporary worker permits, no fucking 2nd class citizens anymore. This is modern slavery. No more gross profits on the backs of underpaid employees. No more mistreatment of my friends.

No legal citizen would want to work in the sweatshop conditions Alex faces. He and his coworkers literally do work legal citizens are incapable (industrial sewing) or unwilling (shitty work conditions and pay) to do.

If you do not support Alex being legalized, I can not support you, Alex is my friend and I would do the same for you.

The Value of Life

Posted in Politics, Veteran Activist, Culture by themachetti on the June 19th, 2007

Last night 8 Fire-fighters died fighting a fire in South Carolina. Numerous news coverages, hour long news talk shows have been dedicated to this story. It is truly tragic when a public servant dies. But why do we value the lives of firefighters and police officers more than our soldiers. We say we support our troops but that is only in life. The coverage of the deaths of municipal public servants from communities seems to be given a lot lot more coverage than the death of each American fighting person in Iraq. Sure you see how bad things are going in Iraq but little attention is given to the individual loss of life. Why do we as a society deem sticking a bumper magnet on our car is enough attention to the loss of life, but others who lose their lives in domestic service get hours of television discussing the events surrounding their early and tragic death. A death of a soldier, sailor, airman or marine is no less tragic than the death of a firefighter in Charleston SC. Further, the service member who dies in the line of duty dies in service to a whole nation and not a local municipality. Each service members death is a national tragedy and should be the cover news story until the deaths end. Shit, if we gave nearly as much attention to service members deaths, maybe there would be enough movement in the country to end this war in Iraq. If most Americans with money knew people serving, maybe they wouldn’t be there in the first place. But like all wars this war is carried on the backs of the poor, those who do not gain the attention of the media, those who do not know people who can afford to contribute to presidential campaigns. Save for World War 2, the civil war and the Revolution… all American wars have been been carried solely on the backs of the poor. The fact that so many middle class served in World War 2 is the only reason we have veterans benefits today. This was started though after World War 1 when returning volunteers found themselves out of work and without pension, and they marched on Washington demanding rights. Today, in the all volunteer force it is not the children of the wealthy who volunteer. This is why the faces of those lost are left to local news coverage of just a blip, and nationally we do not mourn. We show numbers instead of names, 8 died today, 6 yesterday… grand total 3400+ THESE ARE HUMANS like you and me, they are not numbers. I want their sacrificed appreciated equally as all others. Take the Paris Hilton goes to jail shit off the news, and replace it with biographies of who is no longer with us because we allowed this President to conduct and illegal war.
Big kudos goes to my brothers and sisters in arms at the IVAW guerrilla protests in Chicago, their Operation First Casualty (Truth is the first casualty) yesterday. I was most impressed by the idiotic comments of Loop Businessmen like “well I hope they support the troops” my thoughts “you fucking moron they troops, and you and your stock portfolio of  Haliburten, McDonald Douglas and Boeing are profiting off their sacrifice”

Keep up the great work IVAW I stand with you, and I am angered by the government trying to silence you.

A follow-up to my comment with my description of the Dem Candidates

Posted in Politics by themachetti on the June 6th, 2007

Joe Biden - Shut up, you are getting in the way.
Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton - I wanna be a star
Christopher Dodd - See Joe Biden
John Edwards - If you were a foot taller you’d be President. Mike Gravel - Grandpa! Wonderful ideas, please write them down though before you die of old age.
Dennis Kucinich - Hot wife! Great ideas! I wish I wish I wish… but in reality…. not electable.
Barack Obama - My man! My candidate. A leader, Teacher, the 2nd coming and lesser evil Bill Clinton.
Bill Richardson - Stick around, we will need you.
Wesley Clark - Keep up the good work, too bad you are too short to be President. Thank you for being the one big name helping out today’s vets.
Al Gore - No balls. You won the election in 2000, you betrayed us by not fighting to hold onto it.

Why I watch the Republican debates.

Posted in Politics by themachetti on the June 6th, 2007

So why would a progressive like me care about the Republican Debates? You’d think I’d rather be doing anything else. On the contrary, I enjoy it a lot and here is why:

I love a good comedy, especially a reality comedy. I find the republican primary debates are some funny shit. My main motivation is watch one honest man stand with a group of liars and be treated like the town drunk. Rep. Ron Paul is the one honest one of the bunch. It is fun to hear him speak to facts and truths that the other candidates are not willing to accept or allow into the public discourse.
The Republicans outside of Ron Paul live in a world slogans, talking points, and something I like to call illusion linguistics.
Illusion linguistics are lies that are believed to be true by so many, they create an illusion of truth. Some of the more famous ones…

“They hate us for our freedom”
The Truth: They hate us for our support of Israel, our military bases and influence in the Persian gulf, our unilateralist (at the end of the barrel of a gun) diplomacy, and our treatment of Muslim prisoners.
How do I know: Because that’s what they fucking said.
Now read the transcript from the debate in South Carolina

MR. GOLER: Congressman, you don’t think that changed with the 9/11 attacks, sir?

REP. PAUL: What changed?

MR. GOLER: The non-interventionist policies.

REP. PAUL: No. Non-intervention was a major contributing factor. Have you ever read the reasons they attacked us? They attack us because we’ve been over there; we’ve been bombing Iraq for 10 years. We’ve been in the Middle East — I think Reagan was right.

We don’t understand the irrationality of Middle Eastern politics. So right now we’re building an embassy in Iraq that’s bigger than the Vatican. We’re building 14 permanent bases. What would we say here if China was doing this in our country or in the Gulf of Mexico? We would be objecting. We need to look at what we do from the perspective of what would happen if somebody else did it to us. (Applause.)

MR. GOLER: Are you suggesting we invited the 9/11 attack, sir?

REP. PAUL: I’m suggesting that we listen to the people who attacked us and the reason they did it, and they are delighted that we’re over there because Osama bin Laden has said, “I am glad you’re over on our sand because we can target you so much easier.” They have already now since that time — (bell rings) — have killed 3,400 of our men, and I don’t think it was necessary.

—- Ok makes sense me but wait here come Rudy trying to turn this conversation into something it’s not—

MR. GIULIANI: Wendell, may I comment on that? That’s really an extraordinary statement. That’s an extraordinary statement, as someone who lived through the attack of September 11, that we invited the attack because we were attacking Iraq. I don’t think I’ve heard that before, and I’ve heard some pretty absurd explanations for September 11th. (Applause, cheers.)

And I would ask the congressman to withdraw that comment and tell us that he didn’t really mean that. (Applause.)

MR. GOLER: Congressman?

—- More facts and truths—–

REP. PAUL: I believe very sincerely that the CIA is correct when they teach and talk about blowback. When we went into Iran in 1953 and installed the shah, yes, there was blowback. A reaction to that was the taking of our hostages and that persists. And if we ignore that, we ignore that at our own risk. If we think that we can do what we want around the world and not incite hatred, then we have a problem.

——- End transmission
Does Rudy think that Republican voters are 8 year olds? But he certainly insulted my intelligence, I hope some republicans were as offended as I was by his spin.
Now I will say that I was at one point in my life a libertarian like Ron Paul. I severed my ties headed more to the left of that party based on their stance on immigration and the fact that there are certain things socialism is best for and libertarians want so little government it’s almost like anarchy. Ron Paul is a libertarian but he is running on a republican ticket and has been elected as a republican rep from Texas. If Ron Paul was the Republican candidate, I’d probably vote Repub for the first time in my life. I think he’d be a better President than Hillary who seems more motivated by fame and fortune than real governance. Barack is still my preferred candidate but I doubt we will see a black president in my lifetime. I think it is time we had a smart person running things. It is going to take a lot of brains to fix all the things the retarded (special olympics) kid has fucked up since 2000.  Hopefully Americans will vote not for the candidate that is most like them IQ wise, and vote for a leader that can teach us all a thing or two. Barack did teach at University of Chicago Law School.

Buy any energy drink but rockstar.

Posted in Politics, Culture by themachetti on the June 4th, 2007

My favorite drink until last week was Rockstar energy drink. I had a serious habit and was drinking 1-2, sometimes more per day.

Recently I have been more proactive in finding out about the companies I buy things from. Lets face it, in a world with electoral votes and $$ = successful campaigns, our elected officials are chosen for us. The only true democratic choice we have is where we spend our money. Many people have become more conscious about this with the rise in organics and fair trade products. The success of trader joes is another example as well as people boycotting companies like Coca-Cola, Walmart, and many Chinese made products due to them being anti-worker anti-union etc. Being that I spent so much on the RockStar beverage I was motivated to find out more about the corporation. What I discovered was shocking, and made me feel quite guilty.

The creator and CEO of Rockster is Russell Weiner.
Russell Weiner is the son of Doctor Michael Weiner aka talk show host “Michael Savage.” His mother is CFO of the company. All three are herbalists. Michael is the 3rd most popular conservative talk show host. To get you a better picture of what sort of tool Michael “Savage” Weiner is let me share with you some of his more offensive quotes:
On the November 27 edition of his nationally syndicated radio show, Michael Savage declared that in order to “save the United States,” lawmakers should institute “an outright ban on Muslim immigration” into the country. Savage also recommended making “the construction of mosques illegal in America, and the speaking of English only in the streets of the United States the law.” -http://mediamatters.org/items/200611290005
My thoughts: What an interesting idea and great way to create more terrorists. Way to go Doctor Weiner.

Some more from http://users.nlamerica.com/tharden/savage.html

Savage has described single career women in their 40’s and 50’s as, “burnt out liberal hack women”, and “human wreckage in high heels.” Michael Savage has referred to the handicapped as the, “Wheelchair mafia.”

Well how does this all tie into rockstar? Sure the owners dad is a nut job…. but why avoid the product all together? Well Father and Son have a special society they started called “Paul Revere Society.”  A nationalist, racist, and homophobic organization. They want more religion in government, english as an official language, any “leftist” ideals removed from our countries minds.

Rockstar’s cans have an American flag on them and say “made in the USA” This is probably a jab at the market leader, Red Bull, which was one of many products caught up in the “ban French products hysteria of 2003.”  Even though it is an Austrian product a well produced urban myth placed its origins in France.

So where do we go from here… some other options:

Monster - Owned by Hansen Drink Co. A manufacturer of many organic juices and other brands of energy drinks! You can find many of their products at Trader Joes.

Red Bull - Austrian Company based on a Thai beverage. Controls 50% of the US market for energy drinks.

Full Throttle is a Coca Cola product and many including myself try to avoid their products due to: In July 2003, trade unions around the world launched a boycott of Coca-Cola products in solidarity with Colombia’s Sinaltrianal food and drink workers union after the local Coca-Cola bottling company used intimidation by an illegal paramilitary group to block unionization efforts. All products proudly made in the USA! - Sorta

Posted in Politics, Culture by themachetti on the May 25th, 2007

As some of you may know I work for a major American Flag manufacturer. We make flags for US, State and Municipal governments. We make the flags that go on the caskets of our dead soldiers, we make banner advertisements for the military in their efforts to recruit. We advertise to our government and other customers that our products are made in the USA. This is bullshit.
1. Starting in the past couple years we have begun importing poles and other hardware products from China. That’s right China. We don’t say it’s from China in the catalog, but the products are marked China when you get them. (VERY SMALL hard to find print) This isn’t the majority but it is becoming more and more common.

2. The people sewing the flags here in the US, 80%, I believe are illegal immigrants. First of all I have nothing really against illegal immigrants, I love and respect those that I work with. BUT the fact is that they have fake social security numbers and IDs, I know this because they go by different names than their employment papers/pay check says. I know that my company will change their names (fire and rehire the same person) when they get better fakes. I’ve seen it done.

So yes profits stay here the USA, so that management can by their BMWs and travel the globe (well I guess not those profits haha) and we can just stand here waving our flag that says “freedom ain’t free.”

And I puke a little more in mouth.

Lou Dobbs would have a field day if he knew about this.

1. I will not pledge allegiance to a flag. I have proven my allegiance to a country with my actions, but not a piece of cloth which has done little more for me than provided a job. To me it no longer stands for the blood of the veteran or the freedoms that we have that don’t exist in a few nations to me its a symbol of all the money my bosses have made off selling the popularity of flags post 9/11. To me its a club or a fad…. and this is a tragic reality.
2. There is always an angle. For everything “good” that happens and is given to us by those in power, there is another angle not shining in our faces, a hidden agenda behind everything. EVERYTHING.
3. Family are strangers you are forced to hang out with. They should be unconditional cheerleaders behind you, and for this you love them. When was the last time you told a brother sister aunt or uncle, cousin or nephew/niece that you loved them? (Thanks for the conversation il mio amore)
4. An apple a day will not keep the doctor away. Consuming a variety of fruits and vegetables throughout the week will be you best shot at keeping the doctor at bay.
5. Mustangs are not truly wild horses, their parents/grandparents were once domesticated animals. So just like you, no matter how rebellious and wild you get, just remember, your parents were domesticated and you are capable of being domesticated too.
6. One rich man goes to the jeweler to have his watch fixed. When he goes back days later to pick up the fixed watch he decides at that moment he no longer cares for his gold watch and gives it to the lady behind the counter. And now I have a new gold plated watch. Some people have too much money but I’m happy to exploit their extravagant lifestyle.
7. If you can appreciate something before it is taken from you then you truly have reached happiness.
8. To truly be naked with someone has nothing to do with flesh, it’s sharing the inner workings of each other’s mind. ( ;-P )
9. Sometimes we do things with out reason, but simply based on instinct, the outcome of these decisions will yield some of the most rewarding outcomes you will have in a lifetime.

#11 It’s the quiet ones you have to watch

Posted in Politics, Veteran Activist by themachetti on the October 28th, 2006

An old traditional proverb goes “It’s the quiet ones you have to watch” IE when speaking about killers, molesters etc..

George Carlin once said somthing like ‘If you spend all your time watching the quiet ones, a noisy one will walk up and fucking kill you.’

Thus is the situation with Crazy Kim in North Korea.
Lets look at the facts:

A. When Clinton left office North Korea had 0 Nuclear weapons, and we were in open communication with them. And with our gifts of michael jordan autographed basketballs crazy kim was negotiating with our people on various topics as in their stockpiles of WMD, willingness to develop nuclear weapons and their human rights abuses.
B. Bush takes office ends all dialog with North Korear
C. Bush invades Iraq, which constantly has the vast majority our main fighting force either in that country or on rotation at home to go back into that theatre… even pulled troops out of south korea and sent them to iraq.
D. North Korea sees our weakness and over expenditures, now annouces it has 8 nuclear weapons and if we act on sanctions they will declare war against us… (a country about the size of Iraq, with 1mil strong military, an idealogy where the citizens no NOTHING ABOUT US CEPT what their doctrine has taught, they have nuclear weapons, and WMDs chem-bio weapons etc… )

E. Iraq didn’t have nuclear or chembio weapons wmds etc, Iraqs people prior to the war knew about the west beyond what their government said (but we apparently didn’t know much about them cept what our gov told us) and they had an opressed MAJORITY…. North Korea has an oppressed populace but they don’t know that will more than likely fight till the death against the evil west.

F. F stands for Fucked, I think we are fucked… Its time to fix shit at home, let China be the world super power, and batten down the hatches for the future… a future of no more fossil fuels, Chinese control of our markets, and the disapearance of the middle class.

It’s fucking sad but I see no hope in sight.

So Saturday night I went out for some drinks with my friend. We went to a local bar (yuppie/jock) place where the crowd sucks but atmosphere is cool and the drinks are around 3 bucks each so its not that bad. Anyways I was down to my last 10 bucks and was feeling pretty drunk, needed to piss and headed off to the men’s pisser. I’m standing at the urinal and this middle aged yuppie next to me pissing asks. “Are you in the service?” (At first I thought this was some sort of gay code like “are you on the team?”) But then I realized he was probably asking about the tattoos so I say “Yes I was, Army, yourself?” Maybe he was making small talk, he says “no.” So I’m like what the fuck in my head, but drunk yuppies, what do you do. He was a big guy, well built, maybe he wanted to fight or something… anyways I follow him over to the sink (there was only one) and he washes his hands and dries them and I am about to step up to the sink when this guy pulls out a wad of cash, I’m talking a WAD like Tony Soprano or something, he hands me two bills, and I’m shocked drunk and like “um no I don’t want your money man” and he’s like “fuck you” so I say “ok next round is on you then, thanks” It looked like 2 10 dollar bills but I stuffed them in my pocket like we just made a drug deal…. anyways, I go back out and sit down sort of shook up by that thinking it was weird and shit. Both way no big deal I told my friend what had just happened and they ask “how much,” to which I have no clue but I don’t want to look at it and count it with him possibly watching. I locate him at the bar he’s parting with a bunch of people and so I pull out of my pocket two 100 dollar bills!!! I got sick to my stomach… I don’t make a lot of money so 200 bucks is huge to me! I just wanted to leave before he realized what he had done and asks for his money back… but there was only one exit and he and his group were there.. I felt so uncomfortable so I drank more with a wide eyed look, then I notice him and his group had left and I continued to drink and got really drunk and walked home.

I don’t know if it was 9/11 weekend or what, I wish rich men would give me 200 dollars every time I went into a bathroom, but if that was the case, I’d probably have to be prostitute for that to happen.
So why did this happen to me, I don’t do well at casinos, I really don’t have luck as far as things go. Here are some thoughts I have come up with.

A. Philanthropy feels good. Hell the giver usually gets more out of the act of giving than the person receiving. Maybe inspired by the patriotism of this weekend or guilt of all the money he’s made on owning stock in defense contractors since 9/11 or something along those lines. 200 bucks was chump change to this man, and he felt he was fulfilling some sort of patriotic duty. My service wasn’t for fame, glory, recognition or anything, I went in November 2000, when things were much more peaceful and Clinton was President. The days of innocence and when we were more scared of some inner city black youth attacking us at our local mall than an Islamic suicide bomber. This is a whole other area of ignorance. I simply went in to make my father proud, to gain something from him I never felt I had as a kid. 9/11 came along and well it changed everything.
B. Guilt is a huge motivator for benevolence. What skeletons might this guy have? Did he dodge the draft in Vietnam? Did he keep his kid from going in? Was it because I did something he was unwilling to do, and this was his tactic to pacify some sort guilt he has that he keeps inside.
C. Was this some sort of “fuck you poor kid?” He did say “fuck you” when I tried to give him the money back.
D. Maybe this guy is just a baller and this is how he rolls… its a step up from the empty gesture flag waiver club.

So yeah I really need 200 bucks, to bail me out of some bills, but I spent 10 at the bar, another 40 on groceries I needed, and 150 I deposited in my account, and then I wrote a check for 150 bucks and put it in the mail today to the wounded warriors project. They deserve it more than me. Heroes come home in body bags or stretchers missing limbs, not unscathed like me. I’m not a hero I’ve done nothing heroic.
So if you are feeling some sort of guilt or need to be philanthropic please go to http://www.woundedwarriorproject.org It’s a great cause that I have donated to a couple of times.

9/11/06 5 years later, we are not much safer. I don’t let fear rule my life the way they want though, they won’t ever make us safe as long as they can get things from us if we are scared. While you are surfing the web take a peek at something thought provoking. www.myspace.com/911truth
